Assessment Days

ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
PLAYer Level Assessment: (For participants that are currently taking a PLAYer level class that wish to move to the Par level.)
Playing Requirement
(needs to be met before the Assessment Day)
-Play one 9 hole round in a fast/safe/courteous manner and be able to record your score accurately.

Must complete before registering for Assessment Day and bring to assessment.
-Scorecard from nine hole round.

On Assessment Day
-Putting Assessment- Play a 9 hole putting course with a coach and other participants in a fast/safe/courteous manner, and be able to record your score accurately

-Life Skills Knowledge Written Assessment- 80% or higher on questions

-Golf Knowledge Written Assessment- 80% or higher on questions

- Interview with a member of TFT Coaching Staff

Par Level Assessment: (For participants that are currently taking a Par level class that wish to move to the Birdie level.):
Playing Requirement
(needs to be met before the Assessment Day)
-One 9 hole round in a fast/safe/courteous manner with a score of 72 or under from 1,500 –1900 yards.

Must complete before registering for Assessment Day and bring to assessment.
-Scorecard from nine hole round.

On Assessment Day
-Putting Assessment- 9 hole putting course with a maximum score of 27

-Short Game Assessment - 3 holes with a maximum score of 12

-Life Skills Knowledge Written Assessment with an 80% or higher on questions

-Golf Knowledge Written Assessment with an 80% or higher on questions

-Interview with a member of TFT Coaching Staff

Birdie Level Assessment: (For participants that are currently taking a Birdie level class that wish to move to the Eagle level.):
Playing Requirement
(needs to be met before the Assessment Day)
-Play five 9 hole rounds in a fast/safe/courteous manner with a score of 63 or under from 2,500 yards or more.

Must complete before registering for Assessment Day and bring to assessment.
-2 Goal Ladders- One golf specific goal ladder and one goal ladder for outside of golf.
-Five scorecards from your five 9 hole rounds

On Assessment Day
-Putting Assessment- 9 hole putting course with a maximum score of 23

-Short Game Assessment- 6 holes with a maximum score of 21

-Full Swing Assessment (Greens)- 3 out of 6 shots on the green from 100 yards to the center of the green

-Life Skills Knowledge Written Assessment with an 80% or higher on questions

-Golf Knowledge Written Assessment with an 80% or higher on questions

-Interview with Jeff Willoughby

Eagle Level Assessment: (For participants that are currently taking a Eagle level class that wish to move to the Ace level.):
Playing Requirement
(needs to be met before the Assessment Day)
-Play ten 18-hole rounds and keep scorecards (100 or lower required score at a yardage of at least 5,000-6,000 yards)

On Assessment Day
-Take two written assessments (Life Skills and Golf Knowledge) – 80 % or higher to pass

-Pass the putting requirements (Need a putter, ball, and ball-marker) – Eagle participants will need to score an 18 or lower on a 9-hole putting course and demonstrate proper etiquette on and around the green

-Pass the chipping requirements (Need a wedge, putter, and ball) – Eagle participants will need to score a 27 or lower on a 9-hole chipping course

-Pass the full-swing iron requirements (100 yards onto green) – Eagle participants will need to make at least 3 out of 6 on the green

-Pass the full-swing driver requirements (140-160 yards onto the fairway) – Eagle participants will need to make at least 3 out of 6 on the fairway

-Participate in an interview with Jeff Willoughby of The First Tee of St. Johns County Staff

***Once Eagle certified, participant will need to complete the Ace Level Application***

Player Assessment at The Palm Valley Golf Club is Wednesday June 5th at 4:30pm
Player Assessment at The First Tee of St. Johns County at St. Johns Golf Club is Tuesday June 4th at 4:30pm
Player Assessment at Champions Club at Julington Creek is Thursday June 6th at 4:30pm

Par Level Assessments
Player Assessment at The Palm Valley Golf Club is Wednesday June 5th at 4:30pm
Player Assessment at The First Tee of St. Johns County at St. Johns Golf Club is Tuesday June 4th at 4:30pm
Player Assessment at Champions Club at Julington Creek is Thursday June 6th at 4:30pm

Please read the requirements carefully before registering for the assessment days.  Participants who have not completed the requirements and are not on time will not be allowed to participate in the assessment that day.
